CLUB NEWS

1) Gents:

Following their fantastic success last year winning the Scottish Cup the Gents team have made an excellent start to their 2009/10 league programme. In the first week they drew with Bainfield 84-84 away and in the 2nd match beat Stirling 94-77 at home. Their next game is against Balbardie on the 24th October and is at home starting at 2pm. Come along  and support the team.

2) Ladies:

The Ladies are in equally good form winning all 3 matches in their league and are joint top of the table with Portobello. The results are Tweedank 77 v Bainfield 75 at home, Tweedbank 92 v Teviotdale 77 away and Tweedbank 84 v West Lothian 68 at home. Their next game is against East Lothian at home on the 31st Oct and would appreciate your support for this important game.

3) Seniors:

The Seniors have not faired so well only winning one of their first 3 games. Twedbank 52 v Bainfield 64 away , Tweedbank 65 v West Lothian 62 at home and Tweedbank 41 v East Lothian 84 away.

4) Other News:

As most members are aware this is the 25th anniversay of the club and is a significant milestone in tourhistory. The club is also honoured by the SWIBA with the election of Margaret Wilson as the Scottish President. There will be various functions throughout the year and these will be posted on the various notice boards at the club.

 

All indoor leagues have now started and in additionthere will be the usual social events i.e. Round robins, halloween and christmas games. It is also hoped to hold some open events at weekends after the busy Scottish League programmes.
